Detailed Introduction

Function Description/Sectional View

  Structure

The IPM series hydraulic pumps are fixed-displacement, clearance-compensated internal gear pumps.

  Its basic structure is:

  (1) Gear shaft IPM Series Internal Gear Pump

  (2) Front Cover

  (3) Front oil pan,

  (4) Pump Body

  (5) Rear Oil Pan

  (6) Rear Cover

  (7) Sliding Bearings

  (8) Internal gear ring

  (9) Positioning Rod

  (10) Crescent-shaped auxiliary plate

  (11) Plastic rod

  (12) Crescent Mainboard

Oil intake and oil discharge processes

The gear shaft (1), installed according to fluid dynamics, transmits motion to the internal gear ring (8) in the direction of rotation shown. IPM Series Internal Gear Pump

Oil is supplied through the tooth side clearance that opens in the suction zone. The oil is conveyed from the suction zone (S) to the pressure zone (P) via the tooth side clearance between the gear shaft and the internal gear ring.

As a result, the oil is discharged from the closed tooth-side clearance and conveyed to the pressure oil port (P). The suction area and the discharge area are separated by radial compensation elements (10 to 12) as well as the gear mesh between the internal gear and the gear shaft.

Axial Compensation: The discharge chamber in the pressure area is axially sealed by the front and rear oil distribution plates (3) and (5).

The side of the axial gasket facing away from the discharge area is subjected to back pressure from the pressure field (13). These pressure fields balance the axial gasket with the discharge area, thereby achieving an ideal sealing effect with lower mechanical losses.

  Radial Compensation

The radial compensation components include the crescent secondary plate (10), the crescent primary plate (12), and the plastic rod (11). IPM Series Internal Gear Pump

The crescent secondary plate (10) and the crescent main plate (12) are arranged within the pressure field, so the resulting pressure is borne primarily by the locating pins.

A small pressure component presses the crescent secondary plate and the crescent main plate against the tooth tips of the gear shaft and the internal gear ring, thereby separating the pressure zone from the oil‑suction self‑zone through automatic clearance adjustment.

This is a prerequisite for consistently maintaining high volumetric efficiency throughout the entire working period.

The gap between the crescent secondary plate and the crescent main plate can be adjusted using the plastic rod in the middle.

  Hydrodynamic and Hydrostatic Installation

The gear shaft (1) is supported by a hydrodynamic, radially mounted sliding bearing (7).

The internal gear ring (8) is installed in the pump body (4) using hydrostatic mounting.

  Engagement

The meshing of involute tooth profiles features a long engagement length that is suitable for low flow rates and pressure pulsations, thereby ensuring quiet operation.
